Newcastle, NSW Retreat | Feb 2026

Simply Art is a collaboration between world-renowned educators and artists, Erin Elizabeth Photography and Anja McDonald Photography. Based in Perth, Western Australia, we teach Newborn, Maternity, and Family photography educational masterclasses and retreats worldwide to hundreds of photographers around the globe. This time we have decided to bring our masterclass to the sand dunes in Newcastle, NSW and share how we run our sessions and businesses.

Program
| FRIDAY 13th Feb

We meet at the beachside villa on from 5pm will then all get settled into the house for a meet and greet and a light dinner.

| SATURDAY 14th Feb
After breakfast we will start the day with a simplistic newborn shoot led by Anja. This will be a relaxed ‘in home’ style session, focusing heavily on lifestyle family images and capturing those amazing special moments with a new baby.

We will then break for lunch and in the afternoon we cover all details on how to conduct shoots on the beach and at an outdoor location. Choosing locations, shooting times, wardrobe, client expectations and everything in between and at sunset we will be doing a family beach shoot led by Erin.

We will then head back to the house and enjoy dinner and an evening of relaxation and conversation (and a few cheeky glasses of wine if you so wish!).

| SUNDAY 15th Feb

We start the day bright and early with a sunrise shoot led by Anja.

After breakfast its Erins turn to show you how she completes a posed newborn session with props, table posing and wrapping.

Lunch will then be served and the afternoon will be dedicated to editing, business and marketing and a bit of relaxation time.

At sunset we do a maternity shoot in the sand dunes led by Anja.

Dinner will be served and we will enjoy another fabulous evening together, connecting and soaking in all of our newfound knowledge.

| MONDAY 16th Feb

We will start the day with a relaxing breakfast, followed by a ‘no subject off limits’ Q&A, where we can cover anything you wish from business to shooting to everything in between. We will then say our goodbyes at 10am.

THE DETAILS

- The retreat is in Newcastle, NSW and dates are 13-16th Feb 2026

- ALL food and drinks are included. We will provide breakfasts, lunches, dinners, coffee, tea, soft drinks and wine.

- Includes FULL access to the Simply Art Academy Facebook group. Full workshop on video included, access to all new material (which is added frequently), as well as unconditional on-going support in this exclusive group. We also offer monthly zoom calls to answer any questions.

Tickets - Single bed in a twin room - $3250per person ($750 deposit, remainder will be invoiced monthly in instalments)

- Maximum 9tickets with accommodation. Limited tickets available with no accomodation (2850).

- All images taken by you (maternity, newborn and family) are YOURS to use for your own portfolios.

- Deposits ($750) are non-refundable but fully transferable to another attendee if you are able to find a replacement.

Due to the nature of this Masterclass, all sales are final and non-refundable but you may sell your ticket to someone else.

Sharing of information, downloads, videos or action sets is strictly prohibited.

This Masterclass is NOT available to those who mentor, teach workshops, create actions or sell photography videos in WA.

Each space is for one attendee and not a group.

Anja McDonald Photography and Erin Elizabeth Photograph has the right to remove any attendee from the workshop if the attendee is not adhering to above conditions and no refund will be given.
