After the wild success of their Simply Art Masterclasses and Retreats in Australia and in Bali, Erin Elizabeth Photography and Anja McDonald Photography are headed to NEW ZEALAND for five glorious days of family photography, bonding, relaxation and FUN. 

This retreat will be absolutely packed with inspiration and exploration. We will be shooting in the incredible locations that New Zealand has to offer including crystal clear lakes, moss covered forests, magical hidden waterfalls, majestic mountainous vistas, and everything in between.

Learn how to choose your locations, work with any lighting conditions, shoot families and children of all ages, and create stunning galleries that your clients will treasure for a lifetime.

We will also focus heavily on pricing, marketing, editing workflow, and helping you to create a plan that will work for YOU and your business.

There will be plenty of personalised attention for each individual attendee. There is so much money to be made in the portrait photography industry and we want to help you develop a long and successful career in this beautiful industry.

As a new addition to our Simply Art Retreat experience, we will also be offering 1:1 sessions with EACH attendee, where we will review your portfolio, discuss your personal goals, find out what you want to gain from the retreat, and more so that we can insure that you are getting the absolute BEST experience we have to offer.  
Each attendee will have two one-hour 1:1 sessions with Erin and Anja - one at the retreat, and one via zoom to follow up after the retreat.  We are committed to continued education and can’t wait to help your business grow!

While we will be sharing our wealth of information, we also know that sometimes part of growth includes rest, relaxation and refocusing yourself and your business priorities. To assist with this, there will be plenty of amazing activities built into the itinerary - sightseeing (including the Queenstown cable car and luge track!), scenic drives, and plenty of time chilling in the INCREDIBLE mansion (with hot tub!), and time to reflect.

And most importantly, we want to help you build more connections within the industry! Photography can be a very lonely path, so we want to use this opportunity to deep dive into conversations and topics you typically wouldn’t have time for in other workshops. Both Erin and Anja have a very diverse background and expertise, which we hope will help you develop and explore your own creativity and will inspire you to grow and reignite your passion for photography.

And the best part - the mansion! We will be staying in a stunning home with the most incredible views of the surrounding mountains - modern fully renovated enormous villa with hot tub, plenty of modern bedrooms and bathrooms, and incredible views. Add in plenty of cocktails and Erin and Anja’s long list of party games, and this will be a retreat to remember!
